Poem: Calm shores, by Tobi Akinpelu.
How is life as it’s walking through your canoe?
Are the turbulence roaring enough,
Or need some more?
Are you at your capacity or below?
Let me know because there are
endless possibilities still waiting.
It’s time to breathe for a sec,
Take this moment.
A moment most beautiful the first time and each time,
The beauty of the moment is calmness.
Imagine—
Each is a dot lined up on blank paper
Dot becomes a jar of wine,
Jasmine and Rose are infused inside the jar of—right now.
Feel the fragrant flowers and bliss of butterflies.
It is a similar infusion when at a humming climax.
You want to go so fast, yet only if the moment can last for more.
The world is rotating and moving so fast and slow,
New ideas,
New businesses,
New ... (add your unique twist)
Still Live: An audition performance is going on!
New streams of creativity
Flowing and circling around
Take a paddle, dare to move
An idea held up against the mocking storm
Remember ---
Your dream is the gentle wind you need
To set sail the canoe of your life
Sailing joyously
Through the calm shores of hope
New sharks,
those that bare teeth at the growth you show
the 'mentors' that feed on fishes and corals
You want to go fast, yet only if they had a little moral
Imagine....
The bobbling of the canoe and the splash of the clear pit below
and look ahead with hope so pure till you get a steady flow
as the light seeps through the misty clouds above
and you remember the beauty you beheld
when you took the first wade in the sea called life
See the calm...
